Pick-up Times and Places

Pick-up your share at the Ithaca Farmers' Market on Saturday's off Third Street at Steamboat Landing or Tuesdays Downtown at Dewitt Park.  Saturday Market hours are 9am -3pm and Tuesday Market hours are 9am -2pm.

Come to one or both markets each week. You dont need to let us know which market you will come to, but remember share limits are for the week.  For best selection pick-up your share before noon. If you arrive at the end of market there will be vegetables left, however, some items may be sold out.

Please bring your own bags. We are trying to do our part to reduce waste and costs by reducing our plastic bag use.  If you dont remember your bags we will have some for you to use and we promise not to scold you!  Make sure you get your Organic Cotton Grocery Tote when you sign-up for your share.  Bags will be available when you arrive for your first pick-up or at the farmers market, if we are there selling shares before the begining of the season.  It helps us to identifiy you if you have your tote with you when you come to pick-up your share.

Share Limits and the Free Choice System

Our pick up system is a free choice system share members “shop” at our market stands to satisfy the produce needs of their household for the week – take as much as you need. Members pick and choose from the available vegetables according to their individual tastes and needs. Most weeks we limit one or two items – either high value items such as a $15 watermelon, or items that require a high amount of harvest labor like green beans.  CSA share limits are for the week.  You can come to both Saturday and Tuesday Market in the same week, but please don't take a watermelon on both days.

The CSA share is not intended for canning, freezing, preserving, juicing or sharing with friends and extended family. However, we do offer case discount on items we have available for wholesale, so you will still be able to can tomatoes at a reasonable price!

Healthy Food For All! and Share Payment Plans

If you are part of the Healthy Food For All! program or if you have arranged a payment plan with us, please make your payments on time as you agreed.  We would rather put our energy toward growing great food instead of chasing down payments.  If you are having trouble with payments, please talk to us -- we can work something out.

Working Shares

If you have arranged a working share with us you are responsible for keeping track of your hours.  Your share is worked off at $7.25 per hour.

Vacations

Do you have a friend or family member who would enjoy using your share while you are gone? Send them while you are gone – for us it’s a valuable way to introduce a new person to the CSA concept. Just let us know who will be picking up in your stead before you depart.
